Possible Side Effects

Few people can say that they have lived a life interesting enough to write four books about. Luckily (but mostly unluckily) for Augusten Burroughs, he has. His latest memoir is Possible Side Effects another collection of stories, much like his previous work Magical Thinking. His newest books includes short stories from all walks of his life and is similar to David Sedaris' books in its format. Burroughs details stories about his extended family, like the vicious tooth fairy that his grandmother detailed for his younger self; his partner and their newest dog named cow, his encounter with a bloody nose on an airplane and others. Overall this book was good, but because I read almost all of his books this summer I had grown tired of the format and was getting bored with his stories. For those of you who haven't overdosed on Burroughs, this is a good read that's funny and interesting.
